Customised Hammered Copper Quote Bracelet

A beautiful solid copper bracelet that has been textured & hammered by hand. If you prefer the none hammered look then I have these also in my shop too. These bracelets look amazing stacked up with the brass & aluminium. You can opt to have words/numbers or coordinates stamped onto your piece. I use a liver of sulphur to oxidize these imprints. You may notice that some of the hammered pitting has a little patina however this will be very minimal. The oxidized stamping is a lot paler than my other pieces. CHARACTER ALLOWANCE

If you choose to have text, the maximum character allowance, including spaces, is 30. Please do not go above this.

FINISH & SIZE DETAILS 

• The nature of hammered metal is that it will have an uneven & pitted look. This is the beauty of the piece!
• The bracelet shown is 9 mm x 150mm. You can select bigger sizes from the dropdown. As a rule of thumb the 150 mm will fit a 16 cm - 18.5 cm wrist.

CLEANING - Although aluminium will not tarnish & just needs a buff with a clean cloth, both brass & copper will tarnish. To remedy this, a slice of lemon rubbed over followed by a rinse & buff will fix this. For more severe tarnishing using a mix of lemon juice, cornstarch & salt (mixed to a paste) & rub into the bracelet, rinse with warm water & buff

❤ What is hand stamping?

Hand stamping is a fabulous way of making an imprint onto metal. It works completely by hand where metal stamps are held & boshed with a hammer, to leave an imprint. Because hand stamping uses no machinery at all, there may be little variations in depth to the imprints. A perfectly straight line is something that hand stampers worldwide scratch their heads in wonder at. The beauty of hand stamping is the imperfect perfectness of it & the fact that you really can have whatever your heart desires stamped onto a piece that you can treasure forever ❤

❤ Why aluminium?

Aluminium is a wonderfully lightweight metal. It has the beauty of any other metal but it comes with bonus points; it is a fraction of the cost, beautifully lightweight & it is hypoallergenic so perfect if other metals make you a bit on the irritated side. Unlike silver, copper & brass; aluminium will not tarnish! Look after it as recommended & aluminium will last a lifetime.

❤ Silver, copper & brass - all of these metals will tarnish at some stage. Brass & copper quicker. You can easily remedy this by following my care instructions. All of these metals can, on occasion, turn the skin a little green where the jewellery sits. This, especially with copper & silver, is nothing to do with the jewellery but your skins tolerance to the metal. Silver does contain traces of copper.
